AVIC Shangda has been a high-tech enterprise, the Hebei Enterprise Technology Center, the Hebei Special Alloy Regeneration Engineering Technical Research Center and the National Integrated Use of Natural Resources (Regeneration and Utilization of Waste Alloys) Industry Technology Center with the establishment of academician workstation and post-doctoral innovation practice bases, which has set up long-term technical partnerships with Ukraine Barton Research Institute, Metal Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, USTB, No. 621 Research Institute and Steel Research Institute.

Shangda possessing strong R& D capability has employed several renowned experts in metallurgy to reinforce its technical talent pools and owned a R& D group of core technologies, including 4 professor-level senior engineers, 14 senior engineers and 15 doctors.
It’s equipped with R& D test and detection equipment of professionalization, a production line of pilot scale test and a complete set of domestic first-class detecting equipment specializing in physical and chemical properties of metallic materials.

Core Technologies

With international advanced full-automatic pollution-free cleaning technology of independent intellectual property rights, the whole process ranging from material input to output of finished products can be completed automatically, including functions of multiple cleanings, separation, automatic sampling, identification and clean audit, which can effectively remove all kinds of metal and non-metallic impurities generated from the mechanical processing, storage and transportation process, but also maintained the original components and degree of purity for the high-temperature alloy materials that can be used for raw materials or alloy materials to produce high-end special alloys like high-temperature alloy, etc.
The company has obtained 23 patents in purification technology, 5 of which belonging to invention patents. The product quality can reach the condition of military standard with the international advanced triple vacuum smelting process to form technical systems including vacuum purification, inclusion removal of special slag system and degassing inclusion removal of argon blowing, etc.

Research and Development Products

The company completed R& D of heavy-caliber ultra-pure 316LN tube-making materials for nuclear power industry with features of inclusion of high standard and great manufacturing difficulty, which has realized a higher strength, improved ductility and toughness and extended service life compared with the materials for primary pipes in the previous nuclear power station.
